Unreal Engine Blueprint - Spline-based Instancing

Demo/Breakdown of the Blueprint

You may create a list of static mesh that will be randomly selected. They will be instanciated along the spline.

You may control the distance at which each instance is spawned along the spline.

The blueprint may do a linetrace for each instance to attempt to find a ground given a trace direction & channel and max distance and project instances onto that ground.

Instances may be aligned regarding the slope of the ground.

Instances' scale may be randomized and offset in a couple of different ways.

The blueprint may give each instance a chance to have a specific rotation on a given axis applied for extra randomization.

Location can be randomized and offset in all sort of ways, both in spline or world space (or both), before or after ground projection.

Blueprint allows you to set collision for those instances and offers the ability to use Hierarchical Instance Static Mesh Components instead of the regular ISMC and you may also change the randomization seed.
